Animator's Workshop (All ages)

Service Description

Bring your stories to life, one frame at a time! Animator’s Workshop is a project-based program for young artists and storytellers who are ready to create their own animated films. Similar to our Filmmakers’ Workshop, participants will experience the complete creative process, from developing an original idea to sharing a finished production. Over the course of the program, participants will explore storytelling, character development, visual design, storyboarding, animation, editing, sound design, and post-production. They will build their skills through hands-on experimentation while working independently and collaboratively on original animated projects. Our experienced animation coaches provide technical guidance, creative mentorship, and support throughout the production process, but the ideas and creative decisions belong to the participants. They develop the concepts, create the characters, design the worlds, animate the scenes, edit the footage, and add the final sound. Animator’s Workshop is ideal for participants with some animation experience, including graduates of Intro to Animation, as well as self-taught animators who are comfortable with the basics and ready to take on a larger creative project.
